About

The VCU Department of Biostatistics has been a leader in biostatistical education and research for more than 50 years. We offer master’s and doctoral degrees with concentrations in genomics and clinical research. Our graduate students benefit from hands-on experience working with faculty researchers on federally funded projects in collaboration with partners across VCU.

The department has nearly 20 full-time faculty members who are nationally recognized for their work in the areas of clinical trials, and genomic biostatistics. Several hold affiliate appointments in other schools and departments at VCU. Our faculty actively mentor our graduate students and continually review our curriculum to ensure students are well prepared for their professional careers.
