Our graduates are in high demand for careers and leadership positions in academia, government and the private sector. We’re committed to diversifying the racial and ethnic composition of people who become biostatisticians.
Nearly 20 faculty members serve the department full time, actively mentoring our graduate students and continually reviewing our curriculum to ensure students are well prepared for their professional careers.
Our faculty are nationally recognized for their work in the areas of clinical trials, pharmacology, toxicology and genomic biostatistics. Several faculty members hold joint appointments in other departments.
Our faculty researchers belong to multidisciplinary teams in federally funded projects across VCU. Partners include:

- VCU schools of Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing and the College of Health Professions
